This is the Startup Club kickoff event.

What is Startup Club?

A group of startup enthusiasts that come together and volunteer to help each other directly. We will help each other any way we can with things like:

-presentations to customers and investors

-contacts

-investors

-web sites, blogs ...

-review business plan

-find developers, partners and other resources

How does it work?

-minimum monthly 1.5 hr lunchtime sessions at the codefactory (like will go to two sessions per month)

-each session is limited to 15 people

-sessions are driven by a moderator to keep things moving along

-each individual gets 5 minutes to describe ONE thing they need help with (will be timed with a buzzer)

-rest of time is for general discussion/networking or to focus on a very specific problem

-lunch will be provided if we can find sponsors (first few will be sponsored by Codfactory, Funders and Founders and FaveQuest)

We''re trying not to impose too much structure on this from the start so that everyone can have a say and evolve the structure based on how things go. Please note that the intent is to spawn many small groups to get together throughout the month to drill down into individual problems and resolutions. We're also going to set-up a website in support of the various activities (haven't worked out details yet).

Who is allowed into the club?

Our goal is to be inclusive but there are requirements to meet:

-have serious startup ambitions (you are either in a startup now or on the verge)

-need to state your case to the organizers (Ian and myself)

-need to register with Codefactory and purchase a membership
